Brief/ DESIGN A LOGO. CREATE A BRAND. MAKE IT COOL, NOT COCKY.

STORY/ HotelMedia is a start-up. Its founder began with one product fuelled by an idea to disrupt the “Do Not Disturb” door hanger world (by disrupt, client meant providing a far superior Do Not Disturb hotel door hanger product in uniqueness, design, quality, style and touch point branding offering a wonderful product for a wonderful price).

The client wanted a unique, classy, modern, yet understated logo, something that could waltz on the top floor of a 5 Star Hotel, as well as line-dance with the Budget brands in the outback. Friendly, not flashy. Cool, not cocky. Something they could grow with, as the logo had to represent not where the business is today, but where it will be tomorrow, that being a fully fledged HotelMedia Co. specialising in marketing and advertising services, hotel-branded collateral, merch, retail, wall art, visual imagery, digital products plus photo and video services.

Brief/ Design a modern, contemporary logo that’s star neutral - ie. it has to work for a capital city located, 5-Star Hotel Manager, as well as a country mum and dad, operated Budget Motel.
Target Market/ Hotel Owners, Managers, Directors. Marketing Directors. Managers. Decision Makers.
Purpose/ Build a new disruptive creative company who thinks and acts different.
