Brief/ DESIGN MERCH YOU WANNA STEAL.

STORY/ There’s Merch, and then there’s Merchandising. Some people call it Merch. Some people call it Merchandising.

I call it Merch.

Cause it’s shorter and sounds like I know what I’m talking about - cool street wear designs, ethically made high quality 100% cotton blanks - like AS Colour or Cotton On (both with A- rating*) - and a choice of on trend, fitted styled blank tees, singlets, hoodies, caps (bucket, trucker or baseball) etc., all produced by a tee print business with street cred style.

After initial meetings and some “alcohol assisted” brainstorming at the bar, the client and mainly all girl boss crew, contributed to several design ideas sketched out old school style (back of drink coasters with a pen), eventually choosing five for final design and production. We chose AS Colour for blanks. The first drop lasted less than a week. Merch was well received by crew, students, locals, tourists, micro-influencers and thieves.

Brief/  Create merch designs for the iconic Down Under Bar & Grill (DUB) for crew wear, streetwear and promo merch for students attending the University of Queensland’s Orientation Week (O-Week). Include the locals slang words - “DUB” & “DUNDER” and the bar marketing strap line - “Full On, Flat Out.” Design for tees, singlets & custom branded bar wristbands.
Target Market/ Crew, Students, DUB customers, Locals, Tourists & Randoms.
Purpose/ Crew Wear, Promo Giveaways, Retail.
Result/ SOLD OUT, issued out, gifted out, promoted out, and whatever was left, stolen (not in that order).
