Brief/ DESIGN A LOGO, CREATE A BRAND, BE AWESOME.

STORY/ That was basically the brief, actually, it was simpler than that, more like, “we need a logo, can you do it?” The final design wasn’t my first choice, nor my second, but in the end, it didn’t even matter. You see, the logo, the brand was killed off. Dead. Deleted. Trashed. The client had to shelve plans due to a combination of a lease agreement, and intellectual property restrictions, which at the start, seemed easy enough to sort out. It wasn’t. We move on.

Brief/  Rebrand Hurricane’s Woodfire Grill, Surfers Paradise (HWFGSP) to ‘Woodfire Bar and Grill by Hurricanes’. Create a new logo look and feel for an already established restaurant. Present a new image for reputation management to distance HWFGSP from brand and price perceptions of the past. Create a new logo to assist in a new brand style relevant to a focus on a different customer profile and price point. Avoid cliches like fire, wood, wooden textures, fire colours, flames, burning, wood, sticks, fire etc. Refer to logo references provided. The logo design should be fresh, simple, unique, different, fun & youthful.
Target Market/ The casual, relaxed diners. People who want great food and good prices shared in a relaxed setting. Business, locals, tourists.
Purpose/ Introduce a new brand offering an alternative menu to the established Hurricane’s Grill brand.
Result/ Project cancelled.
