Subtle or Statement?

Brief/ DESIGN NEW PACKAGING. MAKE IT POP.

STORY/ With packaging, there are only two ways to go - subtle or statement. We chose the latter. Be bold, bold said. So we did. To coincide with the new
fit-out and positioning of Hurricane’s Express Bondi Beach, along with the new home-delivery service, the packaging design had to include the colours of Hurricane’s iconic spiral logo, and new map designs for the large & medium carry bags. Basically, big, bright, branding.

The inventory of packaging included carry bags, hot rib bags, burger clam boxes and chip boxes (small, large) with branding that “pops” - just like an English backpacker with a Bondi sunburn. Some of the quirky marketing (I Got Ribbed) was worked into the designs. With the new menu, came new burgers and a need to easily identify the flavour and the “how-would-you-like-it-cooked” beef patty. Design included a range of creative stickers (50mm), each with their own unique but relevant “cow icons” (my fav, Bondi Burger).
