Brief/ SHOW ME WHERE TO GO. WHEN I GET THERE. AND MAKE IT SIMPLE.

STORY/ Wayfinding is a way of finding your way. I remember when I had my very first “Wayfinding” job, I had no idea there was a fancy name for it. I just thought it was a collection of signs made with words, graphics, pictures showing you where to go when you’ve arrived. It’s directional control. Over the years I’ve created exterior signs, made to light up at night and be visible from 100mtrs away. I’ve created custom quirky, irreverent signs aimed at a restless, global multi-lingo youth customer (Nomads Byron Bay) which relied more on icons and infographics and less on the English language.

As with all design, but particularly with Wayfinding, Wayfollowing and Signs, you need to keep it simple. Very simple.
